UNITEDHEALTH NEXIUM UPDATE
This morning's Inquirer reported in the business section that UnitedHealth (the country's second largest health insurer) will stop paying for Nexium, an acid reflux treatment, because there are less expensive options that they claim are equally effective. There is no indication to date that Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan East or Aetna, our largest local insurers, have plans to follow suit.
